Sashiko Japanese Hand-Stitching

via Zoom Meeting.

thank you to those that registered and attended.

I approach Sashiko as a form of wisdom; it is about sustainability, self sufficiency and art form all rolled into one. As a stitching technique, I'm interested in it's meditative, aesthetics and functional qualities.

Sashiko offers an ideal opportunity to connect with the art of sewing as well as our minds. We lead the creative process with needle and thread and the resulting texture is it's own reward.
